"Its initial inspiration comes from the artist's residency at the Swatch art Peace Hotel. In a room with a window that cannot be opened, the artist, through daily observations of changes in the outdoor weather and the passing crowd, noticed that every event and every person is simultaneously experiencing different stories. Similar to how we face our phones every day and information is flattened through the phone screen, that window acts like a screen, transforming dynamic external phenomena into a flattened moving image. This leads to a conversion between dimensions. The artist combines flat sculpture and moving images to concretize the fragmented but explosive expression of the information age."
